Magazines, Billboards and ads all have models and other celebrities made up to look their “best” never showing their worst. When we are growing up our ideas of how we want society to view us change throughout the years. As kids we do not mind how other people sees us but as soon as we start becoming teens we become more aware of others opinions and feel the need to experiment with our looks.

    In my project, I showed women with makeup on one half of their face and the other half was left natural. I wanted to show a woman in her natural beauty verse how they make themselves up to boost their self esteem. My purpose of of taking this collection of photos was to portray the authentic beauty of the human face without the pressures of society. Also, I am attempting to bring a new idea of beauty to these women, one that does not have to include make up.
